As Muslims in Okene join their counterparts all over the world to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr after the successful completion of Ramadan fast, the Administrator of Okene Local government, Hon. (Mall.) Abdulrazaq Muhammad felicitate with Muslims and urged them to show love and thrive to establish unity among one another irrespective of their religious, political and ethnic affiliations.
Abdulrazaq in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Abdulmumin Abubakar, said Muslims should be guided by virtues of discipline, tolerance and love imbibed during Ramadan. He therefore, rejoice with Muslims as he wish them a happy Sallah celebration.
“I wish to thank the people of Okene Local government for their continued faith and immense support to the New Direction government and I enjoin them to use this special occasion of Eid -el- fitr to seek for divine intervention in the face of various forms of social, security and economic challenges confronting the nation. The problems were surmountable but required concerted efforts of all and sundry as well as prayers of our religion faithfuls for divine guidance.
“Fasting is a religious obligation that draw one nearer to Allah whom is the origin of love, peace and unity. I urge you all to shun behaviours and actions that promote hatred, religious intolerance and disunity”, he said.
He prayed to Allah to forgive our sins, grant our acts of worship and bestow on us His endless mercy as we move out of Ramadan.
