Eid-el-fitr: Barr Ladi Greet Muslims, Calls for Unity, More Prayers for Kogi State

The Kogi State project coordinator, Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL), Chief (Barr.) Ladi Ahmed Jatto OON has urged Muslims to uphold the sterling virtues learnt during the Ramadan fast

Barr. Ladi, who made the urge in her message to the Muslims in the state and other parts of Nigeria, in commemoration of the Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the Ramadan fast.

Barr. Ladi enumerated such noble virtues to includes: Piety, perseverance, philanthropy, respect, and love for one another.

The ACReSAL boss said that the Ramadan fast provided an auspicious moment for reflecting on the essence of life and that of being real brothers’ keepers.

She said: “The Month of Ramadan was a rare opportunity that the Almighty Allah affords any lucky Muslim.

“It was a month of intense worship, absolute Piety and pity for one another.
It’s a month of equality and collectively.

“To be blessed and honoured to be alive to witness the month is an invaluable opportunity, and none should discard the lessons learnt in it.’

Barr. Ladi further appealed to Nigerian Muslims to use the period of the Sallah celebrations to offer fervent prayers for Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, and to also pray for sustainable peace, unity, and socioeconomic prosperity of Kogi state and Nigeria,in general.
