The Special Adviser on Public Communications to the member representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Bashiru Abdul Mohammed (BAM), ANIPR, has congratulated Muslims across Yagba East, Yagba West and Mopamuro on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, urging them to sustain the spiritual discipline and devotion cultivated during the period.
Bashiru, who spoke with journalists shortly after the Eid-el-Fitr prayers, observed nationwide on Friday, emphasized the need for continuous supplications, righteousness and closeness to God beyond Ramadan, describing the season as a period of deep reflection, sacrifice and renewal of faith.
The media and public relations expert, who is also the Founder and Chairman of Watch Newspaper and TV, noted that the essence of Ramadan should not end with the festivities but should translate into enduring values of humility, compassion and service to humanity.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, it is important for us to sustaining the virtues of patience, love, and devotion to Allah which Ramadan has instilled in us. The lessons of the holy month must guide our daily lives and interactions as a people,” he said.
While extending warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah, Bashiru also used the occasion to call on Yagba Federal Constituents to supporting the re-election of his principal, Rt. Hon. Leke Joseph Abejide, for a third term in office.
He anchored his appeal on what he described as “verifiable developmental strides” and impactful representation delivered by the lawmaker over the years, stressing that continuity would ensure consolidation of ongoing projects and legislative gains.
According to him, “The progress recorded in Yagba Federal Constituency under the leadership of Hon. Abejide is evident in critical sectors—areas. There is a clear need for continuity to deepening these achievements by expanding the frontiers of development across Yagba—Mopamuro communities.”
Bashiru further described Abejide as a “performer with unmatched legislative capacities,” adding that his experiences and commitment to grassroots development, places him in the strongest position —ahead of other contenders to delivering more dividends of democracy if given another mandate to the green chamber.
“As we celebrate, we should also reflect on the future of Yagba Federal Constituency. There is a compelling need to re-elect a proven leader for a third term. Hon. Abejide remains unmatched in performances, vision, and with your continued support, he will deliver even greater results for the people up to 2031,” he stated.
He, however, urged residents of the constituency to remain peaceful, law-abiding and united, noting that sustainable development, thrives in an atmosphere of harmony and collective responsibility.
