The Executive Chairman of Adavi local government of Kogi state, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami has rejoiced with Muslims on the celebration of Eid-el Adha in this year 1442A.H, and urged them to extend love and make sacrifices for others.
In his sallah message, the council chairman reminded Muslims that they are expected to be true Muslims like Abraham (A.S), they must be willing to offer with selfless devotion, everything they value, and also cherish to attain the pleasure of God and compassion to humanity at large.
“We are expected to extend love with a deep sense of compassion. The concept of sacrifice holds fundamental importance in every religion, and sacrifice for the sake of God and humanity is of paramount importance.
“As we celebrate EID-EL-ADHA, we should also pray for Adavi, Kogi State, Nigeria, and the world at large. The world is passing through a lot and only God can heal the world. May God Almighty grant our heart desires.
“Finally, I implore all the Muslim brothers/Sisters to celebrate and enjoy the Eid-el Celebration in moral manners,” he said.
In his usual ways of celebrating Eid with the Muslims in Adavi LGA, Hon. Salami has extended love to the Eid Masjids, Muslim Chiefs, and some citizens across the local government as a way of relieving them of some expenses. He instructed his official driver to make use of his car to convey the Chief Imam of Adavi to the Eid ground as a mark of respect.
The security-conscious chairman has also made the necessary arrangements with Adavi Securities Network through the office of his CSO/DSO to put every measure in place to ensure the celebration take place peacefully and smoothly without any obstruction along the major roads, especially this period the Executive Governor of Kogi State and his entourage, and other prominent people from various destinations in their home town in Kogi Central to celebrate ‘Big Sallah’ with their beloved ones. They were also mandated to always protect lives and properties.
