Eid Al-Fitr: Let’s Leverage Our Strengths, Put Kogi on Global Map – Deputy Governor

Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu has called on the people of the state to cultivate a spirit of respect, and inclusivity towards one another, regardless of our religious beliefs, ethnic backgrounds, tribal differences, or political allegiances.

In his Eid Al-Fitr message on Sunday, the Deputy Governor urged citizens to strive to leverage on their strengths and opportunities to put Kogi state on the global map.

He felicitated with his principal, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Advance New Direction Government, and all residents of Kogi state, particularly the Muslim community, on the occasion of this year’s Eid Al-Fitr, which signifies the conclusion of the Ramadan fast.

“I commend the Muslims in Kogi State and across Nigeria for successfully completing this month-long spiritual journey of fasting, prayer, and charitable acts in obedience to the Divine Will.

“I earnestly pray that the Almighty Allah will shower blessings upon your sacrifices, leading to a more prosperous and beautiful future.

“During this joyous moment, I firmly believe that all Muslims have been revitalized by the profound meaning and essence of life. By following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), you have embraced the values of righteousness, generosity, affection, self-discipline, and good behavior in your daily endeavors.

“As we commemorate another Eid Al-Fitr, I urge all residents of Kogi State to uphold these teachings and acknowledge the many material and human gifts given to us by the Almighty Allah,” he said.

Comrade Joel Salifu prayed that the blessings of supplications during Ramadan brings positive transformation to all.
