The senator representing Kogi central senatorial district, Senator Ahmed Ogembe, has felicitated with Muslims and called on the people of his district to be patient as he hopes the current challenges will soon be a thing of the past.
He stated this in his Eid al-Fitr celebration message to the people through his media aide, Opeyemi Duke.
The senator urged the people to uphold the tenets of Islam and continue in the holy attributes exhibited while the Holy month of Ramadan lasted.
He said: “we must all continue in the good attributes imbibed during the holy month of Ramadan as directed by God through his Prophet, so as to ensure peace and harmony in the society for a better future”.
On the current hardship being experienced by the people, Sen Ogembe said: ” it is a devastating and sad situation as there is serious hunger in the land because things are expensive due to inadequate cash in circulation.
“I am urging our people to remain calm, patient and continue in prayers for the government on their part to be more committed; I am optimistic that things will get better soon”.
He commended both Muslims and Christians in his senatorial district (Kogi central) for peaceful coexistence among them over the years, urging them to sustain the harmonious relationship.
Ogembe, however, called on the government at all levels to quickly device other mechanism in addressing the hardship in the country if the present method was not working.
