A group, Enough of Felele Trucks’ Accidents Initiative (EFTAI), has commended the new move by the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) to address the issue of accidents in Kogi State, but insists it is not a solution to Felele’s peculiarities.
In a statement signed by the ED Public Matters, Aishat Muhammed, the group said the road requires structural adjustments to beat the gradient cog into and out of the town.
EFTAI, however, said the move was a re-awakening move for the state government to engage the FRSC to do its job and through a new strategy, which is yet known to the public.
The group advised that such strategic innovations should be made user friendly and public engaging.
EFTAI noted that as the campaign to stop Felele accidents enters its 40th day today Saturday 31st of May, 2025, it will surely continue until it gets the needed constructive attention.
