No few than four persons have lost their lives in ghastly road crash that occurred along Lokoja-Okene highway.
The accident which occurred at about 9.30am on Friday March 24 when a Nissan passengers cab had head on collision with another Toyota Sienna.
Two of the fatal causalities were identified as Rev Jonipinsaiye Elija and his Associate Pastor, Pastor Samuel Sanmi Obadofin. Both were serving clergymen in the Evangelical Church of Winning All (ECWA).
Eye witness who the spoke to journalists at the scene of the accident, said the driver of Nissan car lost control when one of the tyres burst on high speed.
The driver of the Nissan car with registration number: LKJ 134 AA, was said to have rammed into a motorcycle and knocked him down, subsequently collided with a Sienna Toyota Bus with Registration Number: BDG 787 XT.
It was gathered that the occupants of Nissan car died instantly, while the cyclist who was knocked down sustained high degree of injuries and some passengers in the Toyota Sienna were also wounded and rushed to undisclosed hospital.
It took the intervention of Police Patrol Team who assisted the other victims of the accident to the hospital for treatments.
As at time this reporter left scene of the accident, the driver and one passengers of the Nissan car were trapped in the wreckage of the car, while corpses of some deceased were littered by the road side.
