Echocho for Senate: Between Confusion and The Mandate (2)

I am not a member of any political party, but that’s not the point. As a sterling Kogi Easterner, my dream has been an economically balanced senatorial district where all will live together in harmony. In view of that, the upsurge of evil forces trying to enthrone a man who cannot decide what happens in his immediate family is an impunity taking too far.
Let me remind governor Yahaya Bello and Edward Onoja that, the aftermath plots pinpointing Echocho’s political appurtenant is a display of grand hypocrisy and diabolic standardization of political malpractices.
I have asked this question severally, why was Echocho snubbed having decamped just to work for APC in 2015? Why was his name not mentioned when men were called upon for the deputy governorship slot instead of an Abubakar Shekau whose fulfillment is the lingering kingship crisis in Ibaji land? Is there shenanigan that accounted for such fruitless efforts? The answer is not far fetched; Echocho’s devastating political rote is simply too naive for the white lion’s ‘New direction Movement’.
I learnt during childhood that Igalas don’t stoop low for even the greatest mortal treasures. But this sacred norms has no spot in Echocho who is now the GYB/Edward Onoja’s errand boy because of political endorsement. Ironically, the duo should be prostrating to him owing to the humongous media panegyrics about his popularity. Unless, they want some of us to believe he is just a paper weighted politician.
I am particularly disappointed in Echocho for allowing himself to be used by these gangs of political daylight robbers and APC toadies to re-enthrone kleptocracy come 2019. As an honest self respecting Kogi Easterner, i least expected his appearance on such political boat that had sailed misery, pains, hunger and poverty to the land. But there he is, sitting safe and snug while his election will be funded by the civil servant’s salaries and pensions. As a matter of fact, Echocho is overrated – a willing tool and pliable character to the evil machination of infiltrators and democratic rapists. No wonder, assertions have been that  Kogi state might make news headlines wrong reasons.
Since the Emperor and prince of Lugard house started canvassing support for Echocho, perhaps when he formerly declared to contest for senate, I am yet to see his legislative blueprints other than the copy and paste philanthropic antecedent by some agents of political mischief and induced fellows.
Back to the central trust. Fellow Kogi Easterners, there is need for discretion in these struggles. If not for anything, it should be for the interest of our dear Kogi East- the land where hills and valleys nestles in wedlock of heritage. To this, i must emphasize that the test of loyalty and plaudits that suddenly brought Fulani killer herdsmen attacks to Oganienigwu, Abejukolo, Ajichekpa, Opada all in Dekina and Omala LG is enough to detest Yahaya Bello’s endorsement for Kogi East senatorial candidate. I will skip hunger and other murderous acts that non payment of workers’ salaries and emoluments had brought upon the land. But I challenge anyone with objection to name just an infrastructural project that GYB’s government has executed worthy of endorsing who become the Kogi East senator.
Prince Abubakar Audu of the blessed memory remains my super hero in this regard. His shoes no size has matched. As a matter of fact, why APC specifically shopped for him is not far fetched; his performance in four years was outstanding. But instead of following the footsteps of the true statesman, Yahaya Bello chose inordinate ambition as his definition of good governance. So, everyone must have a rethink about GYB’s emulative achievement that Echocho may likely replicate. No doubt, they have succeeded in luring one of the famous Igala socio-cultural organization- ICDA. They have also turned her building into construction site with several renovation projects on going, but does that address the craving quests for good governance? Or Does that effects our political struggles for reverberation of a dying senatorial districts? The answer is capital NO. Rather, Echocho and ICDA are just a sinister plots to foist APC government on the people come next year. But trust me, they will fail.
For the first time, a political aspirant does not know how his campaign would be funded. He does not have a legislative blueprint and while others tours round to woo voters, Echocho has griped with imagination the senatorial seat via rigging machinery. In fact, his senatorial aspiration in cahoots with good governance is subject to personal interpretation.
-They have ambushed democracy across the three geopolitical zones and will not hesitate to get it murdered in the fullness of time.
-They are the pilots of governor Bello’s suffocating grip.
-Their political vision is only restricted to the stretch of arms.
Without fear or favor, not only will democracy be raped, Kogi East in fact, the state at large will produce a gang of sleeping senators in 2019.
Again, we must threat with caution, because, the task of liberating Kogi East is non negotiable. Those lending credibility to Echocho’s senatorial ambition should please review his political fitness once more. As a matter of fact, every aspiration should be baked with the craving desire for innovative governance.
As far as I can see, there is no Nazareth where good thing can possibly come in Echocho. Instead, it will be  ‘DO AS I SAID’ legislation as evidenced in his political career thus far. As we speak, most if not all, his political allies with whom he started brightly had left him due to sluggish and weakling political strategies. And now, it is before our very eye how Echocho desperately aligned himself with agents of political malpractice. Those without political will and knowledge of common plight, those he should have criticized for unleashing untold hardship on his people.
When sober reflections are taken and possible future projected, we will detest philanthropy as antecedents that effectuates qualitative leadership. When challenges are reviewed with intention to curb with limited antidotes, we will shun politicking as criteria for assuming political power. But when greed and self conceit thrives, politicking via philanthropic gestures flows in high tension.
The above character directly reflects Echocho’s senatorial ambition. His old time philanthropic sympathizers who are also pretender-democrats cannot discern beyond nostril that politicians of such magnitude are the GIVE and TAKE politician. Their progressive ideology and good governance is in a nutshell, a predatory ideology and kleptocracy.
They are symbols of a degenerated social values.
So if you ask me, the character and the hovering vision of a new society of fairness, equity and justice does not in any form associate with Echocho’s senatorial aspiration.
We will meet again.
