Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development with the empowerment of youths and artisans across the three federal constituencies in Kogi East.

He also pledged a comprehensive overhauling of the iconic Idah Hotel.

Speaking during the programme, Senator Echocho emphasized that human capital development remains a cornerstone of his representation.

The beneficiaries, which were drawn from the 41 wards within Idah federal constituency,
received vocational training and financial support to boost their small-scale businesses for self-reliance.

The lawmaker explained that effort is to discourage social vices and create sustainable economic opportunities for young people and skilled artisans, noting that empowering citizens at the grassroots level is key to long-term development and economic stability.

“As a representative of the people, my priority is to ensure that our youths and artisans are not left behind,” he said.

The Senator equally announced plans for the total overhauling of Idah Hotel, a once-thriving hospitality facility that has fallen into disrepair over the years. He described the project as a strategic move to revive tourism, create jobs, and stimulate economic activities within the constituency.

The proposed overhauling, he explained, will involve modern renovation, improved facilities, and management restructuring to meet contemporary hospitality standards.

Community leaders and beneficiaries at the event commended the lawmaker for his consistent interventions, describing the empowerment programme and pledged hotel rehabilitation as timely and impactful.

The Senator reassured constituents of his continued dedication to delivering people-oriented projects and urged beneficiaries to make good use of the support provided to transform their lives
