The Caretaker Chairman of Yagba West local government area of Kogi State who doubles as the Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Tosin Olokun has felicitated Governor Usman Ododo and his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration
The Council boss also joined the Christian community in the celebration of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ which is a symbol of hope for life after death for every believer.
The ALGON chairman, who commended Kogites for supporting the government of Alhaji Usman Ododo in his efforts to provide quality and responsive leadership for the people of the State, used the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration to call on the people of Yagba West in particular and Kogites in general to imbibe the lessons of the season.
“No doubt, Nigerians are going through though time occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy and other policies of the government.
“These policies are aimed at reviving the Nation’s economy and not intended to push Nigerians into hardship.
“In the spirit of the Easter celebration, I will like to urge Nigerians to be a little patient, as the Renewed Hope Agenda of the government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu provoked Nigerian economy into unprecedented growth and development,” the Chairman said.
The Kogi State ALGON Chairman also emphasized on the need for citizens to engaged in offering prayers for Government at all levels in view of precarious economic challenges bedeviling the nation for God’s mercy to ease the pain of the masses.
While assuring the people of Kogi State of the commitment of his Association to the success of the present administration in the state appealed to the people to keep hope alive as the ALGON members across the 21 Local Government Areas would continues in its engagement with Governor Ododo led administration for the betterment of Kogi State.
