Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka has urged Christians to embrace love and tolerance in order to justify the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Comrade Edoka, in his Easter message on Saturday, noted that Christ came to redeem mankind and appealed for sober reflection on the essence of the celebration.
He called on the people to be united irrespective of religion, ethnic and political differences, explaining that without love and Unity, there can be no egalitarian society.

“Christians should demonstrate love because Christ did so to save humanity, there should be love and unity, let’s tolerate one another and bear one another’s burden, by doing so, we have reflected on the significance of the celebration”, he said.
The Special Adviser felicitated with the government and people of the state on the celebration as well as the labour circle, urging everyone to always pray for the leaders and contribute meaningfully to governance.
Comrade Edoka also commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the prompt payment of Salaries to workers and Pensioners ahead of the Easter celebration, describing the measure as a commitment and demonstration of good governance.
“Let me once again use this opportunity to thank His Excellency, the Chief servant leader of the state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for paying April Salaries at the middle of the month, it goes a long way to tell everyone that the Governor is matching words with action. Now, everyone can celebrate Easter with ease and I believe this is what governance is all about, to be responsive at all times,” Edoka stated.
