The National President of Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA), Elder Deinde Toyin Komolafe, has called on indigenes of Ekinrin-Adde to allow love, unity, and collective responsibility guide their actions and engagements in the year 2026.

In a new year message he personally signed and made available to news men, Elder Deinde Toyin Komolafe expressed gratitude to God Almighty for his faithfulness over the community in the past year, describing 2025 as a period filled with ups and downs but sustained by divine grace, peace, and blessings.

“The past year was eventful and full of positives for us as a people. Despite the challenges, God’s faithfulness was overwhelmingly stronger in our favour,” he said.

The President appreciated the traditional rulers, elders, and community leaders for their steadfast leadership and commitment to peace and stability, while also acknowledging the sacrifices of patriots who stood firmly for the progress of Ekinrin-Adde.

He gave special recognition to Hon. Dr. James Abiodun Faleke, describing him as “the architect of modern Ekinrin-Adde,” and commended his extensive contributions to infrastructural development, including healthcare facilities, roads, palaces, security infrastructure, and ongoing recreational and educational projects.

“Words fail us in expressing our gratitude. All we can do is continue to pray for God’s strength, sound health, and greater accomplishments for him,” he noted.

The President also acknowledged other prominent indigenes and stakeholders for their contributions to education, economic empowerment, security, and community welfare, noting that their collective efforts have significantly shaped the growth of the town.

Addressing security concerns, Elder Deinde Toyin Komolafe urged residents to remain vigilant and patriotic, stressing that security is a collective responsibility that requires conscious cooperation and responsible conduct from all.

He further commended the youths of Ekinrin-Adde for their resilience and positive contributions, describing them as critical stakeholders and ambassadors of the community, while appreciating members of the EACDA National Executive Council for their dedication and sacrifices in the past year.

In his concluding remarks, the President emphasized the need for reconciliation, forgiveness, and intentional love among indigenes, noting that sustainable peace and development can only thrive in an atmosphere of mutual understanding.

“Love must be deliberate and cultivated. As we enter 2026, we must eschew bitterness, embrace reconciliation, and build a new heart of love for one another and for our community,” he said.

The President also paid glowing tribute to the late Chief (Mrs.) Comfort Olayinka Tanimola, describing her as a matriarch, icon, and invaluable source of wisdom whose passing has created a leadership vacuum.

“Her type does not come all the time. Only God can fill the vacuum she has left behind,” he added.

The EACDA President expressed optimism that with love, unity, and collective commitment, Ekinrin-Adde would record greater progress and cohesion in the new year.
