The DELSU Medical School Alumni Association (DUMSAA) is gearing up for its first Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) of 2026, an event expected to draw participation from medical professionals across Nigeria and the diaspora.
DUMSAA made the announcement in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Dr. Nze Ifeanyi-Victor, and made available to journalist on Thursday.
The virtual gathering will take place on Sunday, 29 March 2026, at 7:00 PM (Nigeria Time) via Microsoft Teams.

This year’s meeting centres on the theme, “Beyond Clinical Practice: Building Impactful Careers in Health and Society on the Journey to Self‑Actualization.” The topic reflects a growing recognition of the diverse roles medical graduates now play in leadership, policy, innovation, and community development.
Renowned academic Prof. John Ohaju‑Obodo has been announced as the guest speaker. His experience in medical education and health systems development is expected to enrich the discussion and inspire participants seeking to broaden their professional horizons.
DUMSAA President Dr. Kennedy O. Obohwemu emphasized the importance of the meeting in strengthening the alumni community and encouraging broader career exploration.
“Medicine today extends far beyond the consulting room,” he noted. “Our alumni are shaping society in countless ways, and this meeting is an opportunity to reflect on that impact while inspiring one another to pursue meaningful, purpose‑driven careers.”
The Association describes the OGM as an avenue for connection, learning, and renewed commitment to service. Members are encouraged to join the conversation and contribute to shaping the future direction of the alumni body.
