Dr Omede Idris, a former Commissioner of Health in Kogi state and Deputy Governorship Candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2023 Kogi governorship election, has congratulated Hon Leke Abejide, member representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, on his emergence as the Caucus Leader of House of Representative members from the state.
In a statement on Wednesday, Dr Omede stated that, this is a clear demonstration of the confidence Abejide’s colleagues have in him, characterized by his progressive, altruistic, pragmatic and result oriented drive for the benefit of humanity.
He noted that this act by his colleagues, is excitingly impressive.
“It further highlights politics of inclusiveness for the interest of the people irrespective of political leaning.
“It is expected that the caucus members will work in synergy with themselves and other members to bring to Kogi developments in the various sectors as well as lend appropriate voice to the state government in the overall interest of majority of the people, through peace, confidence and unity.
“Undoubtedly, with ambivent relationship these goals are achievable. To the caucus members, you have done well as we look forward to better days,” he said.
