It was historic, fanfare and celebrations as the former Director General, National Productivity Center, NPC, Dr Kashim Akor NPOM, FNIM was presented a letter of meritorious award and honor at Anyigba.
The occasion which took place on Saturday during the combined convocation ceremony and 25 years anniversary of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba witnessed dignitaries from all walks of life.
While presenting the Meritorious Award letter to the former Director General, National Productivity Center NPC, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Marietu Tenuche commended the former DG for his humanitarian and philanthropy which assisted the institution greatly in the area of Security, Health and Educational development.
Dr Akor donated computers, solar street lights , medical equipment to the university and sponsored indigent ones through scholarships to the institution and others institutions in the state and beyond.
She asked other well meaning Nigerians , organisations and private sector to emulate the good deeds/works of Dr Akor while in office and out office, stating that he contributed greatly to the development of not only the university, but other tertiary and secondary schools in Kogi and the nation at large .
Highlights of the occasion included the presentation and reading of the citation of Dr Kashim Akor NPOM, FNIM to the general public and dignataries at the occasion.
