The Asiwaju of Ayere Kingdom, Chief Olatunji Olusoji, has extended his three years scholarship initiative to 100 indigent students in Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa with over 15million Naira upfront payment.

This is coming on the heels of a similar gesture by Asiwaju Olatunji at the Kogi State College of Education Technical Mopa last weekend.

Olatunji, who was recently conferred with Bashorun Akinjagunla of Ogidi kingdom title, explained that under the scholarship, indigent students are expected to study any course of their choice at the college.

The scholarship package will fully cover tuition and other academic-related expenses for selected students across Kogi state, pursuing teacher education at the Institution.

This initiative aims to remove financial barriers to higher education for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The initiative is a boost in the move by the Provost of the College, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba to initiate Public Private Partnerships (PPP) towards increasing students enrollment.

Reacting to the development, Dr. Femi Fashagba, expressed profound gratitude to Prince Olusoji Olatunji for the generous gesture.

“This is a shining example of how effective collaboration between public institutions and private individuals can change lives. We are witnessing the real impact of strategic partnerships, and we thank Asiwaju Prince Olusoji Olatunji for this landmark contribution to the future of education in Kogi State.

“The initiative aligns with ongoing efforts of His excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, the executive Governor of Kogi State in his quest to move education to the next level by expanding access to quality education and empowering the next generation of teachers, who will go on to impact countless lives across the State and Nigeria,” he said.

Dr. Fashagba commended the young philanthropist and he was particular about the apt and prompt payment of the first tranche of the scholarship fee.
