United Kingdom based Kogi scholar, Dr. Aminu Musa Audu has been conferred with distinguished polio award by Rotary Club.
The award is in recognition of Aminu’s valuable contributions to global peace and security generally through cutting edge and impactful research on community policing and in particular, helping to provide enabling environment towards making Nigeria a Polio free nation.
The award was conferred on the scholar at the Zone H RID 9125 Polio Award Dinners Night held at Winners Hotel in Idah, Kogi state.
Although he attended the meeting through Zoom, Dr Aminu was physically represented at the awards ceremony by Mr Amodu Ikani, a Deputy Director at Kogi State Primary Education Authority and Secretary to the Community Liaison Committee of Institute Of Community Policing (ICOPOL), Idah, Kogi State.
Reacting to the honour, Dr Aminu said his desire in life is to contribute to improving lots of peoples’ safety and welfare.
“However, I never knew my contributions were being noticed. I therefore appreciate the organising committee of the Rotary International at Idah, Kogi state for this recognition,” he said.
Dr Aminu stated that the award will spur him to continue in his determination to pursue what can promote public good.
