It was a celebration galore on Wednesday as fans of the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Dino Melaye, took to the social media to express satisfaction over the return of the lawmaker to the red chamber.
Recall Melaye in three separate appeals on Tuesday, 24th Sept. 2019 filed a complaint on the credibility of the election that declared him as winner of the poll held in February, which the tribunal in Kogi faulted on grounds of irregularities. However, the court has reserved its judgment over the matter till further notice.
Reacting to the above, some fans took to the social media to celebrate with the embattled lawmaker while his critics have since described the celebration excessive and short-lived.
“My action man. He who fear no face. An eloquent man. An optimistic man devoid of pessimism. An intellectual with d voice of d masses,” commented Uko Echendu.
Another user who goes by the name @Olaboy said: “Welcome back sir, we really missed you so much. No weapons formed against you shall prosper.”
Kufre Obot on a contrary opinion said: “I don’t know why people here are congratulating this man, he hasn’t done anything to us the youth..he’s pocket is being enriched every week and nothing has gotten to your hands and yet you call him your man…you guys should please wakeup and shun this politicians who steal our money and render us poor.”
In his reaction, Adamu Yakubu said: “Average Nigeria love drama and or comedy so senators are glad that comedian is back on board (laughs).”
