Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed has appealed to the state government to provide operational vehicles to the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation and its booster stations.
The legislator made the appeal in his contribution on the floor of the House on Wednesday while the House committee chairman on information, strategy and publicity, Hon. Musa Jimoh Omiata submitted a report of the committee on its oversight visit to Kogi State Radio Broadcasting Corporation FM 94.1, Lokoja and the three other booster stations at Ochaja, Egbe and Otite.
The Deputy Speaker said there is need for each station to have an operational vehicle in addition with the one suggested for the Director General, Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation.
According to him, this will boost their capability, re-position them for proper news transmission and help them compete with similar outfits in other states.
While commending the effort of the Kogi state government so far in repositioning and giving most of the structures a befitting look, he expressed optimism that the operational vehicles will go a long way to position the stations to promote the state.
