Democracy is Working in Kogi – Ahmadu Ali

Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ahmadu Ali has said that democracy is working in Kogi State.

Senator Ali who was speaking at a Town Hall meeting to mark the second anniversary of Captain Idris Wada in office, stated that the Kogi State governor must be commended for completion projects left behind by his predecessor.

Stressing that gone are the days when uncompleted projects are left behind, he called on other governors in the country to emulate Captain Wada, even as he called on Wada to always remain focused as he on PDP supporters in the state to continue supporting the party so that in every election PDP comes victorious.

Also speaking at the occasion Rear Admiral Ibrahim Dirisu (rtd), who spoke on behalf of the people of Kogi West senatorial district, commended Captain Wada, saying that the people of Kogi State is fully behind the governor, even as he appealed to those who have not join the winning team to do so immediately.

Former Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Patrick Adaba, who spoke on behalf of the people of Kogi Central, said anything the governor was doing was done with fear of God and objectivity.

Senator Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman, who spoke on behalf of members of the National Assembly said the coming on board of Captain Wada was full of challenges adding that they at the National Assembly appreciate what he has been doing in the state.

He commended the governor for harmonious working relationship with his deputy, stressing that they have been able to transform the state since he came on board.

“In two years you have been able to move the state into centre of discuss. Our governor have identified the need to be with the Federal Government as no decision is taken today at the federal level without the input of Captain Wada,” he said.
