In another development, a group in Bassaland is canvassing support for Gowon Paul Haruna, who seeks the House of Representatives ticket for Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency seat.
A statement by Muhammed Sani, which was made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Tuesday, indicated that the backing was based on the aspirant’s poverty alleviation programme during his time at the House of Assembly.
It further noted that he opened up rural roads, took care of orphans and widows, and had always forfeited his monthly salary to the various communities in his constituency during the period.
