In fulfillment of his electioneering pledge to his people as a state lawmaker, the member representing Dekina-Biraidu in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honourable Idoko Moses Ododo has commissioned over 10 boreholes to cushion water scarcity in his constituency.
The commissioning of the water project, which is first of its kind among the benefiting communities, was fully graced by distinguished personalities from different walks of life who without mincing words showered the lawmaker with encomiums for such historic project.
Some of the benefiting communities are Odu-Ofomo, Okowowolo, Ogane Abocho, Odu-Okpiyegede all in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Assuring his constituents that more dividends of democracy will be brought to their door steps, Ododo said the water project is one out of many projects he has built for his people since gaining their votes.
While describing portable drinking water as the engine room for human existence, the lawmaker also hinted that he is also stepping down electrification projects that will boost the social economic activities of his people.
The lawmaker called on his people to support the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello, noting that he is a man who has a vision to transform Kogi State to an enviable height.
Earlier, the Onu of Abocho HRH Alhaji Tijani Okwutachi expressed satisfaction with the performance of the lawmaker saying “my people will reciprocate this come 2019”.
The royal father however warned youths in the community to avoid any sabotage that will lead to vandalization of the water projects.
Present at the commissioning are Deputy Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Hassan Abdullahi; member representing Ankpa II, Alfa Momoh Rabiu; member representing Olamaboro, Linus Enenche; Administrator Dekina Local Government, Kabiru Idris and Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Project Monitoring, Usman Ochidi amongst others.
