Politics is like a market, you either go to buy or to sell. While our party the Social Democratic Parry (SDP) was selling the good works we have done for the people of Dekina / Bassa Federal Constituency especially the kind gesture we rendered to Teachers in the constituency who have been owed salaries for months; some of them died, some in critical conditions, most of them living in unimaginable poverty, the APC led Government and its Candidates went to the Market to buy.
They went to buy the people with 1,000,000.00 (one million Naira) per polling unit. They shared this money hours to the postponed elections. Dekina / Bassa has about 324 polling units. This means that the APC Government and its Candidates deployed the sum of #324,000,000.00 (Three Hundred and twenty four Million Naira) in just one day just to win election. I have also been informed that they did virtually same in all the Federal constituencies in Kogi State.
If they have used this money to pay the teachers and workers they owe Dekina / Bassa and indeed Kogi State would have being better today. A government and Party that cannot pride itself with any single project they have done for the people despite the huge sum they collect from Federal Allocation. It is a shame.
May I add, that our people are not for sale. They are not slaves to be bought with a price. No matter the amount of money they bring they will surely be disappointed for God is for us…
