A group, Kogi Alliance for Good Governance, has endorsed the candidature of the gubernatorial nominee of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Chief James Ocholi, SAN.
This was contained in a statement signed by the president and secretary of the group ,Yahaya Ashiru and Otaru Onimisi respectively and issued in Lokoja.
The group said that the Ocholi was better prepared as a candidate than the others jostling to take over from the incumbent and described him as a focused personality that could transform the state.
It added that with the CPC candidate governor Kogi State would witness a new era of positive change even as it charged the electorate not to throw this golden opportunity away.
The statement further described Ocholi as an “honest and reliable politician who is fully committed to the development of the state” and stressed that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear on governance issues in the State.
It disclosed that arrangements have been concluded by the group to commence house to house campaign for Chief Ocholi to ensure his victory in the December polls and pointed out that he remained the best option for the state for now.
The group also called on the electorate in the state, particularly the youths, not to allow themselves to be used in the coming election and urged them to be the vanguard of positive change.
