The Dangote Group of Companies has concluded plans to create 160,000 jobs through agriculture.
Technical Adviser to the President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, Engineer Joseph Makoju, stated this when he led a delegation of the company to brief Governor Idris Wada on plans to establish a sugar factory in Kogi State.
He said Kogi is one of the seven states in the country, where the company hopes to establish sugar factories. He added that construction work on the proposed company would commence by November this year.
He said the company’s investment in agriculture is aimed at creating jobs and wealth as well as assist in the transformation agenda of the federal and state governments.
Responding, Governor Idris Wada assured the Dangote Group of the necessary support, adding that land has been acquired for the project.
