All is now set for the inauguration of the crop processing zone at Alape tomorrow by the Kogi State Governor Capt Idris Wada.
The Kogi State Deputy Governor Yomi Awoniyi noted with satisfaction the arrangement put in place to receive the delegation from KAGIL the major investor for the project and the delegation from the federal government.
He said the crop processing zone when operational will provide employment for the state’s teeming youths and create agro allied industries among other benefits to the state.
Awoniyi said the choice of investing in Kogi State by KAGIL the major investors for the crop processing projects, is most desirable in view of the state’s comparative advantage in the production of cassava.
The Deputy Governor assured that the state government will strive towards ensuring that the enabling environment is created for the success of the processing zone.
Awoniyi described the forth coming inauguration as the best thing that has happened to the state in recent times, called on the community to take the advantage of the inauguration to be part of the program.
In his remarks the Council Chairman of Kabba Bunu Local Government, Hon. Funso Olorunfemi said the Alape community is agog with the planned inauguration, commended the state government for creating the enabling environment and for its choice of the community.
