Political office holders in Kogi State have donated N1million to the state’s COVID-19 account to tackle the coronavirus scourge in the state.
This followed the directive of the state government on partial lockdown of social, religious and economic activities in the state.
Secretary to the State Government, Dr Ayoade Folashade Arike, said the donation was a demonstration of the state government’s commitment to defending the people against the deadly virus.
She promised that the political appointees will do more in the coming weeks.
