The Senior Special Assistant on security to Kogi state Governor for Igalamela-Odolu local government area, Hon. Onoja James Omachonu has taken delivery of items worth millions of naira donated by the state government as palliatives to help curb the dreaded global pandemic.
The items include, hand sanitizers, gloves, face masks, drugs and other essential health kits.
Receiving the items with top local government officials, at the local government secretariat, the SSA thanked the state government for coming to the aid of his people while on self isolation.
He said, “I’m always optimistic of this government show of concern for it’s citizenry and this has been clearly demonstrated by the provision of these items for my people. Our COVID-19 Squadron team headed by the state Deputy governor has been up and doing and their efforts has clearly shown why we still have no case of Coronavirus in Kogi state.”
Hon. Onoja enjoined the people of the local government to maintain the social distancing and self isolation measures already in place, assuring them that more succour and other palliatives from government will soon hit their doorsteps.
