Hon. Aliyu Ogido Haruna, the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ajaokuta local government, has reiterated his commitment to run an inclusive government.

Speaking to the press after voting at polling unit 002, Pastesi/Abodu ward, Hon Ogido emphasized his intention to implement an open-door policy as the Executive Chairman of Ajaokuta Local Government Area if elected.

Expressing confidence in his electoral prospects, Hon Ogido stated that under his leadership, there would be “no victor or vanquished.” He promised a collaborative approach, welcoming all citizens with innovative ideas that aim to advance Ajaokuta’s development.

“This collaboration aligns perfectly with the ideology of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, who is renowned for his people-oriented leadership,” Ogido remarked.

The APC candidate also underscored the importance of a peaceful electoral process, assuring the public that candidates from various political parties had signed a peace accord with their supporters. He expressed optimism that their supporters would honor this commitment, fostering an atmosphere of tranquility throughout the elections.

Additionally, Hon Ogido commended the Executive Governor of Kogi State for his concerted efforts in ensuring adequate security across the state, specifically in Ajaokuta LGA. He expressed confidence that the election would be conducted in a “free, fair, and peaceful” manner, setting the stage for a constructive political climate post-elections.
