Councill Poll: Hon Aliyu Ogido Haruna Vows to Replicate Gov Ododo’s Blueprints in Ajaokuta LGA

Hon. Aliyu Ogido Haruna, the chairmanship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has vowed to replicate the impactful blueprints of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo within Ajaokuta Local Government Area if elected in the forthcoming Chairmanship election.

Hon Ogido made this promise during a mini-rally hosted in Ebiya District. Addressing a crowd of supporters, he emphasized his dedication to implementing the successful policies of the Kogi State government at the local level if elected.

“I have served as Caretaker Chairman, and during my tenure, I took decisive action against insecurity in our community,” Hon Ogido stated.

He recounted a significant operation where he collaborated with joint security forces to infiltrate a kidnappers den.

“We traveled for about four hours into the bush, ambushed the criminals, and engaged in a firefight, leading to several arrests and neutralizing some of the threats. This operation instilled morbid fear in the hearts of criminals, and now our people live in peace,” Ogido stated.

In addition to enhancing security innitiated by Kogi State Government, Hon Ogido spoke about his administration’s contributions to welfare and agriculture.

“We distributed palliatives to those in need and provided essential fertilizers to our local farmers as part of our efforts to bolster food security, which align with the state government’s policy on tackling both insecurity and food production.

Citing his numerous track record as Caretaker Chairman, Hon Aliyu Haruna Ogido passionately requested the support of the people for a landslide victory in the upcoming chairmanship election.

He assured voters of his commitment to an “inclusive government” and an “open-door policy,” which aligns with the principles applied by Governor Ododo.
