Council Chairman Installs New Eze in Okehi LG

The Executive Chairman of Okehi Local Government Area, Hon. Amoka Eneji Monday, has installed Chief Eze Joseph Awulu as the new Eze Ndi-igbo of Okehi LGA.

The coronation ceremony was held at the palace of the Ohi of Ihima, Alhaji Abdulraheem Ogido, in Ikuehi, Ihima.

Represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Matthew James Omeiza, the Chairman congratulated the new Eze and assured him of his support and commitment to the progress and prosperity of the Igbo community in Okehi LGA. He charged the new Eze to be a law-abiding citizen and a symbol of unity for the community.

The Chairman’s representative praised the Igbo community’s industrious nature and commitment to peace, noting that Chief Eze Joseph Awulu’s exemplary leadership and respect for local traditions have earned him esteem.

Later, the Igbo community hosted a reception in honor of the new Eze at Oboroke, where Hon. Amoka Eneji Monday graced the occasion as a special guest, demonstrating his commitment to unity and progress.

The installation ceremony showcases the rich cultural heritage of Okehi LGA and strengthens the bond between the government and the Igbo community.
