Constituency Reports: Ahmed Ahmed Provides Ejegbo Community With Portable Water, Electricity

It is obvious that water is one of the essential needs for human survival, yet the people in Ejegbo community still grapple with the challenge of accessing potable water.

Honorable Ahmed Mohammed’s visited Ejegbo during the last Sallah break and tour round the areas, visited some of the abandoned and uncompleted water project by the Kogi State Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in 2013. The water project ought to have been completed so that people will save their money from buying water from water vendors and private boreholes owners.

He immediately assured the people of a 2 weeks ultimatum to rehabilitate and reticulate the project for them to have safe, portable drinking water. He swung into action and today, the water project is fully operational and serving the people.

The project which started under the previous administration of Capt. Idris Wada, in 2013, was abandoned, but has today seen the light.

Residents of Ejegbo community came out in large numbers to felicitate, rejoice and express their joy as they can now have access to water.

He urged residents of the area to be patient and support the state government, that very soon, more water project will kick start in other neighboring communities and this would no doubt go a long way in reducing the perennial water scarcity facing residents and some neighboring communities in the area.
