Hon. Dr Friday Alih, the House of Assembly member representing Ofu constituency has reaffirmed his commitment to The well-being of his people and development of Kogi State in General through quality and purposeful Representation.
Dr Alih made this statement in the ongoing 5-Day Legislative Retreat for Kogi State House of Assembly members in Lagos State with the Theme “Ethics And Integrity In The Legislative Process.
Dr Alih maintained that the retreat has no doubt afforded and availed him of more opportunities to brainstorm on constitutional and legislative responsibilities to hit the ground running for the overall development of his constituency and Kogi State.
The retreat, which is currently on-going, is being facilitated by Lords Promotions International.
The program which commenced with a paper presentations by resource persons and season Lawmakers, among others was the former Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly and former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Dr Adeleke Olurunimbe Mamora who delivered a paper on “the legislature in presidential democracy: the Nigeria experience” and “executive /legislative synergy in democratic governance “.
Dr Alih thanked the organizers of the retreat, describing it as impacting, timely and didactic aim at charging the lawmakers to wake up to their legislative responsibilities and ensure Legislative /executive synergy for peaceful and overall development of the state.
