A true leader always practice not so much in words as in attitude and in actions. As they say, leadership is not about titles or a designation. A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way. It is not always about the next election, but it’s to reasonable extent about the next generation.
APC Local Government Congress took a new dimension yesterday in Ijumu as warring leaders from different political school of thought buried their personal interest to fight a collective course, all for the interest of Ijumu Local Government (Development).
The process was very democratic, free and fair. Unanimously, decisions were taken before the new APC Local Government Executives emerged.
Ever Dogged and vibrant Sen. Smart Adeyemi just before the inauguration of the new party executives of the Local Government, He addressed party faithfuls on the need to come together to champion a collective struggle. He said no more segregation as far as Ijumu APC is concerned and the spirit of oneness will be extended to other Local Government Areas across the state.
The Apostle of empowerment, a very cool headed politician with a difference, very silent but always achieving results,very articulate and versatile, The Chief Whip of Kogi State House of Assembly and a member representing Ijumu State Constituency, Most distinguish Hon. Victor Adewale Omofaiye couldn’t held his cool yesterday and he lightened up the congress with a song of victory and all party faithfuls followed suit (singing no more fight… The battle has been won!).
He expressed how overwhelmed he was and charged party loyalists to consistently convince more supporters to join APC. He commend Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello the for creating a level play ground for all. He said the Local Government congresses in Kogi State should be rated as the best nationwide. No rancour or any form of violence which is a true reflection of a healthy democracy.
The Administrators of all Administrators in Kogi State, A core grassrooter and unrepentant believer of the New Direction Government, Hon. Alh. Taufiq Isa in a swift and very progressive manner embraced peace and hugged Senator Smart Adeyemi, and further enlightened the general public that it is a collective struggle, there’s need for oneness. As a peace loving man, He sent a strong note of warning to all rumour peddlers who are bent on disintegrating APC in Ijumu to desist from such nefarious act.
In all, it was a gathering of oneness both at the congress and at the Burial Ceremony (reception) of the late father to Hon. Ayo Demokun, PA to Hon. Smart Adeyemi in Isanlu Yagba East LGA on May 12th, 2018. Few among the big fish in the ocean of Okun politics that made it to the Burial Ceremony includes; Hon. Smart Adeyemi, Hon. Victor Adewale Omofaiye, Hon. Taufik Isa, Hon. Tolorunleke, Mr Dapo Olutekunbi amongst others,including their always available supporters.
These political gladiators have jointly agreed and decided not to see politics as just a competition, but a healthy competition and has promised to come together to bring in more active political actors with them to walk and work together in the New Direction Road and be one despite of the many big names in our political world.
