Indeed, as trees shall be known by their fruits, men shall also be known by their deeds. This is the only phenomenon to qualify the person of Prof Stephen Ocheni who have not only distinguished himself in his academic life but depicted same in public service so much to have earned him the admiration of the president of the Federal republic of Nigeria.
While I extend my profound congratulations to him on his confirmation by the Senate of the Federal republic of Nigeria, the appointment came to me as a good news in due recognition of the delectable antecedents of Prof Stephen Ocheni and I am therefore confident in his ability to justify the confidence reposed on him by Mr President.
Prof Stephen Ocheni is an accomplished academician, a seasoned financial expert, ideal statesman whose leadership dexterity is hitherto not in doubt and I hope the appointment will spur him to do more. Kogi has been long excluded from the Federal executive council and I wish him well as he steps into a wholesome nation building exercise.
It is worthy to note also that it is the demise of a man in his prime, Ocholi SAN that gave way for a new nomination and therefore, I want to use this medium to pray for him to continue to rest in the Lord even as his legacies lives on. It is indeed a great day for the Igala nation, Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
