Kogi United and Lokoja FC will trade tackles to battle for who owns the Confluence capital when they meet in the Kogi State 2013
Federation Cup final on Tuesday.
The soccer-loving residents of the Kogi state capital, Lokoja may have to wait for the ninety minutes to decide who rules the capital.
The 2012 runner-up and Nigeria National League club, Kogi United defeated non-league Idah United FC 1:0 in the semi-final to reach
their second successive final in two years after missing out on winning against KABU FC in 2012 when they lost on penalties.

The other semi-final clash witnessed 2011 champions and Nigeria Nationwide League club, Lokoja FC who is formerly known as Kogi
Teachers clinically sweeping aside defending champions, KABU FC to reach the final for the first time in two years.
Speaking ahead of the delayed week long final, Mr Adama Yahaya, the Chairman of the Kogi State Football Association stated that the 2013 Federation Cup final will be a unique occasion noting the clubs involved in the final.
“We are prepared for the encounter, its shaping out to be a unique final noting the two clubs involved. We (FA) are looking forward to
seeing a epic encounter and knowing the rivalry between both clubs based in the state capital,” he enthused.
“We expect the representation of the Kogi State Governor Idris Wada in his Deputy, Architect Yomi Awoniyi at the Confluence stadium to watch the final, we anticipate organizing one of best cup finals in recent time though won’t reveal any detail for now as we expect all and sundry to come and watch,” Mr Adama confirmed.
The Kogi State Federation Cup final was earlier billed for 4th May was postponed hugely due to clash with Local government councils election in the state.
The Nigeria National League side, Kogi United FC will hope to reclaim the cup for the first time in four years when they face the capital
favourites and 2011 champions Lokoja FC, who plays the Nigeria Nationwide League.
The epic clash for Federation Cup glory between Kogi United against Lokoja FC will take center-stage on Tuesday 14th of May,2013 at the 25,000 seater-capacity Confluence stadium in Lokoja.
