Comrade Obaribirin Temitope has joined well – meaning Nigerians home and diaspora, in congratulating Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan on his appointment as Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman.
The Kabba- born Abuja based business mogul described the legal luminary’s appointment as symbolic in the political history of the North Central, Kogi state and Okun – speaking yorubas extraction.
He stressed the fact that Kogi State has never had it so good in the distribution of appointments under the watch of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
” Prof. Amupitan is someone who has displayed exemplary leadership skills, academic excellence, high – level of discipline and capacity in the leadership positions he has occupied before his recent elevation. I’m convinced that he is going to steer the ship of leadership of the electoral body to greater heights,” he said.
“As INEC Chairman, he is not only going to validate INEC bye laws, but conduct seamless elections for all Nigerians, irrespective of party affiliation and other minute considerations,” he affirmed.
Comrade Temitope concluded by wishing Prof. Amupitan the required wisdom, strength, courage and confidence to lead from the front in the herculean task saddled with overseeing a critical organisation like INEC.
