Commissioner Commends Speed, Quality of Work on Projects at Kogi State University, Kabba

Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, has expressed satisfaction with the speed and quality of work on ongoing projects at Kogi State University, Kabba.

Wemi Jones made this known during an unscheduled projects tour at the university on Saturday.

The Commissioner, who was received by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Kehinde Eniola, was conducted around several key construction sites within the university, including the main library complex, Senate building, 1,000-bed capacity male and female hostels, and the Faculty of Science and Computing complex.

Speaking at the tour, the Commissioner commended the contractors for their efforts so far. He urged them to sustain the momentum and strictly adhere to the specifications approved by the government, emphasizing that timely and quality delivery of the projects remained critical to the university’s development goals.

In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor thanked Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and assured the Commissioner of the university’s firm internal oversight through its quality assurance mechanisms.

Prof. Eniola reaffirmed University management’s commitment to ensuring that all ongoing works are carried on in line with the vision of the state government.

According to the University image maker, Tade Oshaloto, the project tour was attended by the Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Enimola Dare Joseph; Chief Security Officer, Mr. Samuel Olubato; and members of the Directorate of Physical Planning.

Oshaloto added that the team moved around the campus using one of the newly acquired Toyota Coaster buses, providing a strategic view of the university’s impressive and expanding landscape.
