Provost, Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, Dr. Fashagba Paul Femi has directed that all assets of the college be recovered with immediate effect.

Speaking after receiving the interim report of the College Committee on Asset Recovery on Friday, Dr. Fashagba reaffirmed the college management’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

The Committee on Asset Recovery, inaugurated earlier this year, was tasked with identifying, documenting, and retrieving college assets that may have been improperly removed or are currently unaccounted for.

The interim report, submitted at the Provost’s office, highlights progress made in tracing critical assets like automobiles, fixtures and fittings, furniture, and other institutional assets.

Dr. Fashagba commended the committee for its diligence and transparency, emphasizing that asset accountability is central to institutional integrity and the effective delivery of the College’s mandate.

“Every asset belonging to the College must be accounted for. The administration will not condone any form of misuse, misapplications and negligence. This is a collective responsibility, and everyone must play their part,” the Provost said.

The final report of the committee is expected in the coming months, and further actions will be taken based on its recommendations.
