The Coalition of Igala Unity Forum, alongside the Igala Kingship Development Association (ICDA) and traditional ruler, the Olimene Attah of Igala, met with Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, the Ajaokuta Federal Lawmaker, at his residence in Lokoja on Wednesdayday. The gathering aimed to foster unity and political alignment for community development.
In coordination with Hon. Mohammed Haruna Ganaja, Special Adviser on Community Integration and Harmonization to Governor Ahmed Ododo, the coalition has collectively resolve to support the incumbent administration of the All Progressives Congress for the development of the region
Alhaji Abu Nato and Prince Idoko Daniel Ogacheko, chairmen of the Coalition of Igala Unity Forum and Igala Kingship (ICDA) respectively, praised Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem for his substantial developmental efforts since taking office. They articulated other community needs, which include the construction of hospitals, improved road networks, upgraded markets, and educational facilities.
In his remarks, Hon. Abdulraheem(SEA) expressed gratitude to Hon. Haruna for facilitating this reunion among diverse political views. He emphasized that political differences should not dismantle the community’s unity, stating, “Political affiliations should not shred our unity into pieces.”
The lawmaker cited his commitment to act as a bridge for the varied populations in Ajaokuta, highlighting the area’s diversity as a unique advantage for fostering growth. He reassured his constituents that their demands were not new as it form a core part of his campaign promises.
Hon. Abdulraheem elaborated on several ongoing projects, including a hospital in Ganaja that is nearing roofing, the approval for a new GYB modern secondary school, and plans for a standard market in the area. He further indicated that these initiatives are already in progress, although they are being implemented quietly to focus on results rather than publicity.
The Ajaokuta Lawmaker called on the people to support the administration of Governor Ahmed Ododo, advocating for a focus on effective leadership over tribal or personal interests. He declared Ododo a capable leader worthy of full community support.
