Hon Clarence Olafemi (Obembe), as far as I, Adegboyega Kolade is concerned is a very selfish human being.
His principle has always been the trinity doctrine; Me, I and Myself.
Contrary to the rotational arrangement that we had in Mopamuro LGA to shuffle the House of Assembly and LGA Council Chairmanship between Mopa and Amuro – two independent and autonomous communities that constitute the LGA – for his selfish interest, he thwarted it.
Even when he stole the mandate from Amuro, with the connivance of his minions and Amuro traitors, he went ahead trying to grab the LGA Council Chairmanship for Mopa again. But Amuro stood up to him in spite of his being the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly then.
The then Governor Ibrahim Idris (IBRO) stood with us on the side of justice.
Obembe gave about N420m to a nominee coy of Smart to construct Mopa municipal road which was never done. What was done could not have cost more than N20m. Clarence did not complain over that. The College of Education he spoke about had no foundation in law as he failed or neglected to do the needful by providing the enabling law that could have established it. So,the Igalas frustrated it as soon as IBRO got re elected. Thanks to Barr Henry Ojuola who lobbied to push it through.
The road contracts he awarded in Igala land were given to 1st class contractors.
For a Battle like this, as the Asiwaju of Okunland, we expect him in front. Not to run to the front to grant a press conference in favour of Faleke and immediately run to the other side against him. Haba! Haba!! Asiwaju!!! That is what the Yoruba’s call Jodi Jeso.
