Clandestine Agenda to Sabotage Gains of Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria is Bedrock of ADC Coalition

The coalition assembling under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) represents more than a mere political alliance ahead of the 2027 general elections; it embodies a persistent, covert agenda aimed at undermining the ongoing reform and transformation efforts spearheaded by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This agenda, which seeks to keep Nigeria in a state of retrogression and its citizens impoverished, has manifested in various forms over the decades. It is consistently propelled by a faction within the country intent on dominating the political sphere, often at the cost of truth, justice, and national unity.

At the core of this conspiracy lies a profound ethnic animosity, particularly directed towards a group whose history and principles exemplify democracy, development, intellectual depth, and principled political leadership.

How can anyone in good conscience overlook the bold and deliberate initiatives taken by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address the entrenched structural failures and policy blunders that Nigeria has wrestled with due to years of inadequate governance and indulge in a self deceit of coalition ?

How can any genuine observer attribute the blame for decades of economic and political decay to a man who, in less than two years, has commenced a fundamental political and economic re-engineering and reform process aimed at rehabilitating a nation long immobilized by inertia, corruption, and institutional decay?

This same destructive agenda of scapegoating and ethnic hostility previously resulted in the unjust imprisonment of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, one of Nigeria’s most esteemed statesmen, whose only infraction was providing visionary and transformative leadership.

The crops of people the agenda orchestrated the annulment of the historic June 12, 1993 presidential election, the freest and fairest in Nigeria’s history, won by Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, whose victory was stolen in a premeditated assault on democracy.

Currently, the same forces are reassembling, not through military might or oppressive decrees, but via the backdoor of a hastily organized coalition under the ADC.

This coalition is devoid of true patriots. It comprises habitual political defectors, recycled opportunists, and instruments wielded by long-time champions of national disunity.

The coalition itself lacks ideological foundation, national interest, or a clearly articulated vision for Nigeria, it thrives on ethnic grievances and a desperate desire to stifle the political ascent of the nation and its progressive leadership.

While they may cloak their intentions in slogans of change and salvation, their agenda is transparent and unmistakable: to sabotage the achievements realized since the 2023 elections, to roll back Nigeria’s democratic advancements, and to downplay the genuine efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose commitment and sacrifices towards national development are undeniable.

This is not merely a political battle; it constitutes a pivotal moment in the soul of our nation. The coalition, in its present form, does not represent a coalition of hope. It is the resurgence of a long standing scheme to perpetuate the suffering of Nigerians, disguised as opposition, rooted in vindictiveness, division and retribution. We cannot permit them to succeed.

The future of Nigeria belongs to those who foster unity, not those who propagate division. It belongs to those who construct, not those who seek to dismantle under the guise of coalition building.
