Civil service in Kogi state is dead. There is no morale, no discipline, no commitment among the civil servants in Kogi state anymore.
Staff of Kogi State University Anyigba I interacted with today have revealed to me shocking stories of how they are suffering untold hardships groaning under excruciating pains for years. They have already diversified into other businesses and other petty hustles to make ends meet.
Nothing is happening in the school as nobody cares anymore. Lecturers report to classes at will. Nobody is supervising anybody. There is total breakdown of normal lectures, supervision and other academic activities.
The last time they received salaries was November, 2018. This I have confirmed myself with the bursary department.
If APC is serious about winning Kogi state come November, something urgent should be done about worker’s salaries. The mood of the people here will not be favourable for another GYB tenure.
