Kogi State First Lady, Hajiya Halima Ladi Wada, has been made the grand matron of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kogi State command.
Speaking at the ceremony held in Lokoja, the governor’s wife commended the security strategy being adopted by the Kogi NSCDC command, which according to her has ensured peace, while assuring that government will not relent in its support to security agencies in the state.
“The robust security strategy is also being felt in the neighbouring states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). My husband and I have been doing a lot, even with our meagre resources. Our mission is to help the downtrodden and the vulnerable,” she said.
