As Nigerians join their counterparts all over the world to celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, the wife of the Kogi State Deputy Governor, Mrs Tokunbo Awoniyi has urged Nigerians, particularly Christians, to emulate the virtues of love, peace and tolerance, which are the attributes of Jesus Christ.
Mrs Awoniyi in a Christmas message asks Nigerians to seek the face of the Lord to enable Government tackle the current challenges facing the Nation, asking them not to relent in their prayers for peace in view of the current security challenges facing the country.
Mrs Awoniyi notes that the nation needs the support and understanding of all Nigerians at this critical moment in the history of the nation, ask them to support the nation’s leadership with prayers and inter-cessions in order for the Lord to favour the country.
Mrs Awoniyi also urged Nigerians to use the period to pray for God to grant the State Governor, Capt Idris Wada, his wife, Hajia Halimat Wada, the wisdom to continue to provide purposeful leadership for the peace, progress and prosperity of the state.
The Deputy Governor’s wife, urged women of the state to remain supportive of the Capt Wada led administration, disclosing that the wife of the governor, through KOWEN, her pet project, has touched the lives of women in a more positive ways, assuring them of a better year ahead.
Mrs Awoniyi wished all citizens of the state a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year in advance.
