Rector, Federal Polytechnic Idah, Dr Y. B. Usman, has called on staff and students of the institution to take advantage of the Christmas season to reset their prayer points.
In a statement on Monday, the Rector urged the polytechnic community to table their requests before the Almighty God to grant our Polytechnic a brilliant and successful 2024 session, guide and protect the management team, staff and the entire students of the Polytechnic throughout the new year, 2024.
He noted that the holiday season is expected to bring everyone together as one family in love and in happiness.
“Accept my congratulations for a successful year, ending on 31st; we shall mark it formally on 28th December, 2023; Insha’Allah, with all of us intact hail and hearty,” he said.
The FPI Rector enjoined all in the polytechnic community to use this festive season to utilise, among others, the opportunity to rest nerves from the stress of the recent 2023 accreditation exercise that came to a successful end on 21st December, 2023.
He admonished academic staff to have a rethink and review lecture notes in preparation for the task ahead in the new year, and to refocus their vision and values for their various responsibilities that will bring positive changes in the institution.
