Senator Abubakar Ohere has felicitated Christian faithful and all Nigerians as they celebrate Christmas festival.
Sen. Ohere, in a statement he personally signed, said the Kogi Central Christian community have been a formidable force around his political aspirations, and he further assured them of his continued commitment of love and partnership.
“I urged all Christians to use the festive occasion to pray for unity, peace, and prosperity of our state and the country at large.”
He called on all Kogites to rededicate themselves to the service of humanity in line with the true teachings of Jesus Christ which emphasize tolerance, patience, brotherly kindness, care for the needy and love for one another, among other virtues.
Ohere, however, urged Kogites, irrespective of their political and religious inclination, to learn how to tolerate each other and live together as one indivisible entity.
He urged them to pray for improvement in the social, political, and economic condition of the state as we’ll usher in the new administration soon.
“This is a time for us to be our brother’s keeper, extend our generosity to one another, and ensure that the less privileged among us are not left out of the ensuing merriment,” he stated.
“I wish all Nigerians a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.”
He prayed for journey mercies for as many Nigerians that would have to travel during the period.
