As we join the entire Christians all over the world to celebrate this year’s Christmas, I, Senator Atai Aidoko Ali, wish to extend my hearty felicitation to all Christian faithful all over the world and particularly to the good people of Kogi East Senatorial District of Kogi state.

The birth of the infant Jesus in a stable in Bethlehem, and lying on a manger in the midst of shepherds and their flock, sends the important messages of simplicity in life, kindness to all, and care for nature and all beings that share this world with us.

While Christmas is a time of enjoyment which brings families, friends and communities together, I urge you all to demonstrate care and love for others.

Public office bearers, community leaders, parents and spiritual leaders must continue to instil the values of self-respect, honesty, humility, and commitment to hard work in our people.

In this time of giving, may we also remember those who are still going through the process of healing, those who have been displaced by calamity and those whose spirits are consumed by despair, doubt, and apathy: Let us open our hearts to them, that through the light of hope and faith we carry, may they find clarity, peace, and resolve they seek.

Together, let us shepherd our state and nation forward along the straight and righteous path towards the brighter, more equitably progressive future we rightfully deserve.

Let me use this opportunity to appeal to the good people of Kogi state to remain supportive to the present administration of Capt Idris Wada, the governor of Kogi state for speedy realization of his transformation agenda which is already yielding results.

My most appreciations also go to the political leaders, party supporters and followers for the various roles they played that ensured the smooth conduct of the recent primary elections in Kogi state.

On behalf of my constituency, Kogi East Senatorial District, my family and indeed on my own behalf, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
