Christmas: Lawi urges Kogites to pray for nation’s peace, prosperity
The member representing Okene I state constituency, Hon. Lawi AT Ahmed has appealed to Kogites and Nigerians in general to offer prayers for the nation’s sustainable peace and development in all fields of human endeavours.
Hon. Lawi, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources, made the appeal today in his Christmas message made available to newsmen through his media aide Comrade Danfulani Lukman.
The lawmaker, who felicitated with Christians as they celebrate Christmas, asserted that with God’s guidance Kogi State and the nation at large would soon attain greater heights in all walks of life.
“I enjoin you all to pray and support His Excellency Alh Yayaha Bello led-government in its efforts at surmounting the present economic challenges in the state.
“We hope to see new developments that will make life easier and better for our people in 2018“, he said.
He urged the people not to only celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ but allow the lessons of the occasion to reflect in their lives.
“Jesus Christ is the reason for the season; we should emulate his virtues of humility, courage and love for the people,“ he said.
The lawmaker also promised people from his constituency that he would continue to justify the confidence reposed in him by them as their representatives at the State Assembly and promise to always represent their best interest at the hallowed chamber.
